It was the first time Amadei had done this style and it was a new leather treatment as well.
The bag is made from camel leather, which has a lot of varying textures– some areas are quite smooth while others are rough and distressed like a reverse leather.
It can be used as a weekender of flattened out like a messenger (while a nice idea, in practise it works less well as a flat messenger)
It was used quite regularly for the first year or so. It has not been used at all in at least 3 years. It has been conditioned every 6 months or so though to ensure the leather stays in good condition.
There's one small flaw. Amadei's minimal stitching on the main strap was not really strong enough to carry a lot of weight. it came undone on one side, which has been reinforced by a shoe repairer and is now much stronger. This can be seen in image 4.
The last time the bag was used, the same thing happened to the other side of the strap, which has started to come undone (image 5). This can be easily fixed in the same way by any shoe repairer.
