Thankfully you abstained from posting the back shots. As with most Raf for Jil collections, I like the sculptural volume of some pieces and, in this particular collection, the latexy 90s pleather feel. Harmless collection though, aside from those horrid back plaques.Comment

This collection is so FW10.
I lol'd at the two hipster jumpers. Beyond that I like what I see cos it reminds me of Helmut Lang. But I think that's a style preference rather than fashion, as there's nothing interesting or new on offer. Still, if someone asked me where to go for a quality classic garment I would point them towards this. I'm genuinely curious to see what buyers are going to make out of this.

MK, sweater reminds me of this one from his own 2007 collection.
The last pic of Raf is clearly a shout out to SZ.
edit: And looking over the collection again, I agree that its one HUGE snore (I tried to lightheartedly dismiss it). I would like the super clean leather crew neck. But, one or two piece a collection does not make. A collection composed of mostly boring, expected Raf cuts rendered in leather. In this case simple is not better. I think some sort of gimmick might have, at first, hidden its lack of inspiration.Comment

i think the knits could have been done a bit better though, since they look so obvious and entirely out of place. but it's kind of a cool idea, like they're residual fragments of an emotionally stunted psyche
