the materials and treatments seemed interesting but, in terms of the pieces themselves, i felt forme d operated much confidently in the same territory.

Please at least check the look-books of both designers carefully (not with a glance) before you make such conclusion. Uma and Koeun's work are completely different in terms of the style.

i HAVE indeed seen and tried on the collection in person hence posting my comments. since she's currently in milan (and later paris) to present the collections; before she releases any other images i am not at liberty to do so. i hope y'all understand. the post was intended just to pre-empt the the upcoming collection.

merz, you really do not have to be such a self-righteous, all-knowing asshole all the time, you know? perhaps then you might gain more credibility (and liked) for your comments, which at times are quite insightful and interesting. [please do not follow this with any further ass-wipe replies; i am not at all interested in starting any kind of argument or discussion with you regarding how you treat/assess designers/people, etc..]

dantebykiko, whenever you're on a designer-specific forum that isn't for yohji, you always seem to attack their vision or craftsmanship. case in point, here and on the yang li thread. maybe because you study menswear and such gives you a trained eye to spot a 'badly swen pocket' but aren't you contradicting yourself if you say that you'd like to at least try the garments before making any comments?

thanks for the short cv. i'm not contradicting myself at all. my opinion on whats show its what i wrote. i would like to try the garments and judge further. i'm not attacking.. i'm questioning, because there are too many designers now days who claim to have vision and be craftsman, but only few of them can stand out with those qualities in their work.

I suppose Vertice will be stocking Uma in London for next season, since they did it for last 3 seasons already

Damn, I totally missed her. I went and checked her website and I love it. I guess many also dig her as she seems to have a strong business. Looking forward to seeing what she does for fall.

I gotta get my head out of the hole it's been in for the last couple of years!
