Re: Maison Martin Margiela Men F/W 08.09
Interesting presentation, great flooring ( :) )and a continuation of his musing on celebrity (see women's S/S 08). I like it so far...Selling CCP, Harnden, Raf, Rick etc.

Love the presentation - was this on the runway?
Not a fan of the styling but the individual pieces look good enough. Even though it's totally not me that brown trench is strangely alluring.
let us raise a toast to ancient cotton, rotten voile, gloomy silk, slick carf, decayed goat, inflamed ram, sooty nelton, stifling silk, lazy sheep, bone-dry broad & skinny baffalo.

Re: Maison Martin Margiela Men F/W 08.09
This is really great. Normally I would hate the cheese-ball styling, but, as with the Vincent Gallo inspired presention last fall, the clothes are so good, that it actually looks cool. The jackets and coats are going to be fantastic. [H]

I agree about the jackets, but I wish there would be no more Gallo references... ever... from anyone... honestly, tom ford is more amusing...

I dont like this at all,
its not that its bad,
its that i have so much respect for Margiela, and i know he can do a lot better,
someone should call him out!“You know,” he says, with a resilient smile, “it is a hard world for poets.”

Re: Maison Martin Margiela Men F/W 08.09
As usual with Margiela, I'm on the fence about this collection.
That being said, every time I see the clothes in person, I end up loving his stuff.
I guess its just the presentation and styling that totally throws me off?
