I think this is incredible. Verdandi, I see what you mean with the colors, but taken apart, this will gorgeous. The jackets in particular will be a hit.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

This is so dissapointing to me. Even more so if you compare this to the sensuality and lightness of it's mens counterpart, of which you weren't a fan Faust if memory serves me rihgt.
While there are pieces that are good as usual ( and I am really trying to appreciate that he went back to his roots), my problem with this is that Dries usually walks that fine line between just right and gone overboard into mesy territory' so well - and this time he crossed it.
I guess you'll find me in the mens section come spring and I take comfort in knowing that a Dries misstep is still a lot better than most of what has been shown this season.lavender menace

/\ I am of the same opinion about Dries's balancing skills, just not in this collection. But, what do I know - I wrote that he went overboard with the last men's collection (meaning SS14), and everyone ate it up. It was amazing to see how many editors were wearing Dries in Paris this summer.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

Agree with you on SS 14, that was another example of having gone a tad too far.
I just had my hopes up for something ballet, maybe not Diaghilev and Nureyev, but maybe de Keersmaeker herself this time around and got my loony aunt who ran away 15 yers ago with some guy she met at a busstop and has been living with on Koh Samui since.lavender menace

I for one, am grooving on this. It delivers me to the church in the woods on windowpane (I see windows of the 60's not 70's). Apparently Ophelia was a big influence and that is indeed evident, but its his sincere committed love for fabric and textile that he brings to the table (or moss floored garden in this case) and steers it so adeptly down the romantic path of nature. All heightened by tertiary jeweled colors in floaty, sultry silks. Not one for prints, I usually go for his more muted elements, but I can see how this will ramble into my heart. Hell, it already has.
thank you for posting this, it was on the list of things to do today.
