MOOHONG A/W 2015 : TENSION

Moohong Kim is a new designer who has already been picked up by stores such as Antonioli, L'Eclaireur and HLorenzo etc.

His runway show included a mixture of both his Mens and Womens collections.

His study of Politics in England greatly influences the design of his collections.

This one is called "Tension" and aims " to expose and explore the underlying tensions and fault lines running through our society which most people tend to try to disregard and ignore."

I like the overall silhouettes and the proportions. But is this tension expressed solely via asymmetry and the jagged seams that mimic fault lines? Or is there something more? Looking on a phone so maybe there's another detail?

One detail I cant ignore is the similarity of the bomber jacket to Siki Im's recent elongated bombers.
