Odd - the last time I was in Paris, I thought the people at the YY store were particularly nice.

The collection is very beautiful, elegant, languid, easy. It is also to my eyes as I think Avanster said, very much a female version of the menswear for summer. The asymetric details are almost identical.

Two reservations though - the sunglasses really jar with me, I don't think they fit with the asethetic at all. And it is a bit "yohji by numbers"; this is not particularly a problem but it is a little bit predictable. Maybe his charm is not to be a trailblazer any more, and therefore unpredictability is not relevant.

PS i was in the yohji shop in paris last week and they are the most unfriendly bunch. Was the only shop where the assistants did not say the usual bonjour/merci au revoir, even when i said it to them!
Good to see you 'round here Johnny, shame to hear about your bad experience. You'll love the Antwerp shop, I'm sure!

Agreed about the sunglasses, in fact I only really noticed after you said it that every single look has them.

Damn, how did I not check this out sooner? Beautiful collection. The corpse-like makeup and sunglasses is giving me this "Death takes a vacation" vibe, along with the almost-skeletal hand prints and the overlock/suture stitching on the jackets.

i really liked some of collabs, i even liked the Linda Farrow x Raf Simons Angular Aviators, although the Linda Farrow x Veronique Branquinho Metal Aviators were a classic design and also look great..
