I feel like it's a lazy effort from them for some reason. Or maybe I am sick from all that monochromatic trendiness of New York fashion week (the whole thing is one big blur). Seems like a clone of Narcisco Rodriguez with a bit of Helmut Lang here and there. Don't like the pornstar shoes either.

Re: Sinha-Stanic FW07/08 - London
This was the flawless synthesis of what all the london designers seems to be doing. It's got that Alaia-esque body cling, the furtuist aesthetic, and clean graphic minimalism. But unlike Preen, Christpher Kane, or even Marios Schwab (although I DID like his collection) this refrains from making women look completely stupid. You don't have to be a 16 year old london club kid to pull these looks off. At its most conservative, with those tulip skirts and severely simple jackets, it's chic. At the most daring, the metalic cling dresses, it's tasteful. It's a major step ahead from their previous collections. My only complaint are the Jil Sander parallels. But, at least they know a good thing when they see it.

I really don't see Jil Sander here by any stretch of imagination. Jil Sander, sexy? Never.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

The looks in your second post are pretty similiar to what Raf did in his debut for the womenswear collection. I can't help but notice it. Maybe it's more Simons than Sanders, excuse my semantics.Obviously Jil Sander isn't sexy, but then....there are those minis in the recent S/S07 collection...
