"Service! I never really analyse beforehand but now, looking back, I can see what I was thinking. There's almost Priestly and gas station attended looks, and sort of military influences. I like the idea of 'service' and 'responsibility' in fashion, they are positive messages that don't get put out there very often in a fashion context. Service is the opposite of entitlement and think I there's a lot of entitlement in the fashion world and I wanted to propose something different."Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

Kunk, since you ask - I liked it. I think the skirty thingies continue to work well for Rick's silhouette. Not much new here, but Rick is Rick and this is a Rick collection.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

My first thought is 'two thumbs up to the stylist.' Much of these pieces excel in the presentation. It looks as if it would be tougher and tougher to create a symbiotic outfit using a single Rick piece with other designers.
It's almost like high-end Garanimals where the pieces complement one another so much, they demand to be worn as a uniform.
And I think that's part of the charm in a way. What better to wear some of these more original pieces with than more of the same designer? I used to think it was a very clever sales tactic...these days I just genuinely believe it be harder and harder to incorporate some of Rick's pieces into the world of other designers' works.
This is one of those lines where I don't see anything that I'll be on the lookout for but still a line for which I have great respect. Rick never switches up too much but he does inch forward where lesser designers inch backwards at times. And any progress is still progress in an industry that is often plagued with facsimile. You still have the trademark feel without losing the recognition of the cuts and shapes. And I always like to see Rick challenge himself with fine tailoring. Again, not my cup of tea but I do love to see how he works off of the silhouettes of the body (male and female both).
Textures, materials, shapes, silhouettes....always a joy to see this stuff presented the way its meant to be worn. You can almost tell by this line that Rick is growing in a way...less casual playfulness but still a healthy dose of fine experimentation.Originally posted by mizzarSorry for being kind of a dick to you.

Hi. I like your necklace. - It's actually a rape whistle, but the whistle part fell off.
