I feel like its a little cluttered with superfluous details. Excessive roping and tassels make me feel like Michael Jackson did a collection for the Bloomingdales home store. And the hats are silly.Life is a hiiighwayComment

I love how the collection uses a wide range of colours, especially when the transition is so smooth, unlike some others *coughPughcough*

A.F.Vandevorst have been one of my favourite labels for many years, and this season looks excellent as always.
They build on the military theme of many of their past collections, with their usual ghostly, nostalgic sense of faded glories, and references to decaying symbols of social stratification (in previous collections they have referenced aristocracy through horse riding gear, etc).
To me, the hats evoke the 'end days' of 1920's excess, which of course led to the economic collapse of the Wall Street Crash in 1929 - a fascinating parallel with our current time of economic collapse.
(I must get around to photographing my girlfriend's collection of earlier pieces for the archives one day.)Comment

This is the weakest collection they've shown in a while. I agree with Vanna that a lot of the details seem a bit out of place and excessive.
Anyone have closeups of the shoes? The footwear is usually quite well done and one of their strengths in my opinion.Comment
