^My thoughts exactly. The best parts of the collection are just basic Yohji, while the rest is incredibly disjointed. Too many of the multilayered, patchwork dresses, and only one or two of each of the other looks. It literally made me sad to see this...Originally posted by Yohji Yamamoto, on his second Paris showFrom the next collection it became a war. I didn't want a war but too much attack made me fight.' And you are a good fighter, I say, referring to his black belt in karate. 'I am,' he nods.

There are several looks missing here, I think 15 looks or so?
Might be predictable, but I like it a lot actually. Maybe not as conceptually focused as some of his iconic collections from mid 90's to mid-00's but right now I think I prefer this over several of his later collections (ss10 and ss11, for instance, but I can only recall them vaguely at this point). I like the simple looks, the shapes are still beautiful. They remind me a bit of older collections, early 2000's (and some s/s 06). There is some continuation from ss11, and some overlap from mens ss12 in my mind. Not keen on some busier ones but I don't see a lot of fails here.
Love that last shot, I'm sure the runway show was great. Can't wait to see it in motion.
I would like to see some back shots (the first dress is amazing from the back). That shade of navy of some of the paler grays, shades of white are gorgeous. And the hats are just astonishingly epic.
In the end, I just really love how this looks, plain and simple.Last edited by chameleon; 10-01-2011, 08:05 AM.

Thanks for the video ! Beautiful in motion, as always. I quite like the collection overall, certainly not his best, but better than the last ones in my opinion. I'm in love with the shirts with openings on the shoulders.
Also, I would love to see details on this look :
I'm intrigued by the gold/yellow strings, I'd like to see it closer. The back we can see in the video looks very interesting.
