first i was annoyed thinking: oh not those belts again.

then i warmed up a bit,

then BAM the first two black looks, i thought, YAY, the severity is back, only to phase out into oblivion. same ruffly treatments and conservative shapes as before. still, nice palette.

Show of the season, no competition. The detailing is stunning, those coral effects are amazing, as far as the show as a spectacle is concerned this is it. Literally breathtaking.

This is horrible to me, just frills and frou, almost Marchesa-like in some places, whereas McQueen thought hard through his concepts, even if he ventured into period costume territory.

There are some absolutely stunning and beautiful details here. But I agree, it does leave a sickly sweet taste in my mouth, even the bat dress.

She lacks McQueen's fire....his light and his darkness.

                          Daphne Guinness meets Leigh Bowery.

Agree there is some über craftsmanship here but it looks like costume not wearable fashion. All of the odd masks and head coverings seem a direct influence from Bowery -> McQueen -> Burton.

                          my two cents
                          It's absolutely Hedious!

I'm not a huge fan of McQ, but I have to recognize that some of these pieces are quite masterful. Off couse, this concerns my opinion.
                            After other part are ugly.

                            For example:

                            I just like it.
