Any leather bag of this size will be heavy. My Jil Sander weekender is made from bison and it's heavy as fuck. Yes, you can carry it over your shoulder, although I'd imagine it won't be very comfortable if it's stuffed.

Bison is a very heavy leather, especially the denser grain portion of it

but if it is shaved down (split) from the underside which some leather companies do its then a lot lighter.....

I'm in search of something pretty specific. I want a backpack that I can fit my 17" Macbook Pro, and my Camera, but doesn't look "tech" but still has some compartments. Any ideas? Black, of course.
