trying to decide whether I get this Julius leather jacket:

or get this cotton jacket (pics stolen from les), and wait till next season for a Julius leather:

can't really see what leather Julius is putting out next season though from the small lookbook photos we have so far though.

I much prefer the leather jacket. For the type of jacket, I wasn't very fond of the hard cotton used in the second one. There are a couple basic leather jackets for fw08, but I think the one you are looking at is much better than them.

yeah, the other two leather jackets this season were pretty boring.

i'm not a fan of more than one zipper on a jacket not including the pockets. the stiffer cotton allows you to achieve amazing cut and form bc the jacket literally sticks in place when you position the collar. i would go for the cotton version in leather but avoid the riders jacket.

actually I was thinking that the zippers may be a bit much as well when I first saw the jacket, however I think it really looks good in the photos of it been worn.

the rain jacket is too prada sport-y.

the fencing jacket is an excellent piece. also consider the belted jacket.
