I have that coat in black, Seventh, bought in 2006. It's very warm indeed. I've worn it every cold day for three years now so it was an excellent value buy for me (less than £300 in the Harrod's sale--the only thing I've ever bought in that horrible shop).
The outer wool coat buttons together with the puffer inner (imagine the picture above but with just a narrow line of the poly showing at the front) and it makes a relatively sober overcoat (with a twist) when done up like that with the collar down.
Probably is a little oversized, but I think it looks good like that.Last edited by dontbecruel; 12-12-2009, 03:28 PM.

Nicelynice: I tend to agree about rough wool (although maybe it is a messed-up, discomfort="something good for you" type of thing). But the 07 sweaters, were just too much, (my elbows hurt trying them on!) Maybe I am just getting sensitive in my old age...
Rider: I like the oxfords, but sometimes find that certain shoes look better as objects than actually worn (CCP? - ducking stones). When worn, these might look really conservative, in a bland way (sorta what Genevieve said...). Not sure about the slope of the heel.
Xeraphin: The CDG kilts are pretty amazing, but it is an unforgivingly androgynous look (particularly in white). If you can pull it off and are comfortable in it, why not?
Thanks for the info DBC, the all black is really nice. Do both the grey and black have a metallic shine on the inner puffer layer?

Rider, these are not bad, but I like the booties (like the ones interest1 was wearing today) better.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde
