Faust: I didn't like the knitted sleeves of the jacket (I think they will stretch out and look bad), it was a good move to pass.

Laika: I think the dress would look good if you have some height/long legs to balance out the proportions. The fabric does look quite amazing.

I missed out on the Raf coat , but perhaps it was for the best.

i decided to pass on these. apparently the ankle issue persists. the solution is to remove the button (it pops out) and wrap the lace thru the holes and wrap it up that way. seems like it would work, but since i need black boots, i can't try these on, its final sale, and the ankle is suspect, i'm going to hold out. sooo fyi they have size 10 at atelier for $864. buy them before i change my mind...

one last nail in the coffin, they crease very awkwardly when you walk right at the base of the ankle. Not attractive in the slightest. I will pass the tip over to my buddy in regards to the lacing, see how that works.

Hah, that must be the same exact pair that I tried on last year.

On another note, what's the verdict on the Augusta back lace boots that are on A's website? They're growing on me, but I remember there were mentions of their unwearability and so on, is that indeed true or unfounded?

genevieve, there was in fact a much better piece--a cardi--
in the same knit, but i slept on it ....seems like the dress is

I LOVE the ash colour, I'm just worried they won't get as much wear if they were black, but I guess that's up to me to figure out.

well, i wear a lot of RO in dust and drkshdw in a monochromatic fashion and I find it fairly versatile. i think they would work on a pretty broad spectrum, with black, white, grey, brown and even lighter blues.

January, as I know you know, is sale month for all of Paris. Do you really anticipate spending your cash on the same shit that's left over on the racks here? I never exactly bled the bank dry shopping Paris during sale. Unless you're thinking ahead to Spring, that is. There will be plenty of tempting mandals to make one shudder, I'm sure of it.
Spend your cash at Laduree instead!
