S, yeaaaa. price is kinda a deal-breaker. hoping to get some second-hand but no one seems willing to part with theirs in a 41. i might finally cave in and kop them retail

Not a fan of the M.A+ derbies. However, they are very different than the Guidis. A matter of personal taste.

If you are on the ledge about the Guidis I'd take a look at some of the A1923 creations.

^ Thanks for the suggestion, but personally, I've never fancied Augustas, no idea why myself, just a slight innate aversion to them.

              Shoulder pads...

So I got this BBS blazer (thanks Fenix) and I don't know if I am feeling the shoulder pads. To remove them, leave them, or sell the jacket? I feel like they aren't TOO obvious, but removing them would probably also let the jacket sit about 1/2" to 3/4" lower which might help the fit as well.

shoulders look good imo, though the sleeves could be just a bit longer. also, judging just from this picture, the body could be a bit more snug, or what do you think?

mos def. Lengthening the jacket could only look better on you, and it seems you could even do with a lil bit more wiggle room in the shoulders area.

Based on the pic... The jacket is too short both in the body and the sleeves, in addition it doesn't fit nicely in the chest area. Taking out the pads, won't help with that. Shame as it is a nice piece, but just don't think it's working for you.

t-bone i think i would remove the shoulder pads and pinch it at the waist. is there a way to just use softer more subtle shoulder pads?

                            t-bone, sell.

                            It doesn't fit.

Shoulderpads, FFS. Anything hanging from shoulderpads is a travesty.

It would take about 4 alterations to smarten it up, at which point you have to ask, why bother?

t-bone: everything looks fine to me. not sure if its the camera angle but the body area looks abit roomy/boxy.

also, are you somehow related to Bradley Cooper?

Knowing the jacket and material, it will be very shirtlike if the shoulder pads are removed. Not sure it would work. I don't mind the shoulders but agree, you may be able to have it taken in slightly through the body.
