Just picked up the intarsia in sz medium and I love it!
Great fit and leather is perfect.
Obviously this gets my thumbs up.

IN all seriousness only if you have confidence to pull it off in an outfit because it is some serious and beautiful piece of work.

              Yeah that photo is

There's no way I could pull it off to that extreme

At best, I'd probably wear it with a huge collar roll (or more conservatively, with the collar flipped down), those collar zips are too adventurous for lack of a better word.. maybe one day.

How Jona came up with that design I have no idea, it's a stroke of genius though

Thanks for the input re. stooges vs intarsia.

The situation has changed slightly and now the stooges is even cheaper (down to almost 1/3 of retail)... what to do, what to do

Set aside the price and go with what you think will get more wear. +1 on the intarsia.

I think this piece works if you have the height to pull it off - look at the model. The neck is very elongated and I think it looks best when the collar is up. I love to see someone on the streets in T.O wearing this though.

try and imagine which jacket you'd still want to wear in a year. the price shouldn't be too much of a factor; if you're gonna be paying that much for a garment anyway, might as well choose one the that you like best and would want to wear.

unless you're just experimenting and would like to resell the jacket sooner rather than later, then it might be wise to just go ahead with the stooges.

i've never really been a big fan of the stooges but in my eyes, the high collar intarsia will go down as one of rick's best - and depending on what leather/season you're getting, the price premium is well worth it.

I'm definitely looking for a "forever" type jacket here.. plus I already know I like the intarsia having owned one in a size too small (which I still wore heheh)

                      so yeah, thanks

I would wait for next season's flappy eared long tongued ones.
Hi. I like your necklace. - It's actually a rape whistle, but the whistle part fell off.

i like the ro sidezips better than the ro frontzips. i havent seen anyone wearing the frontzips not unzipped and i think the frontzip looks intrusive in the overall design of the boot while the sidezip is kind of tucked away. also as someone else said, next season's iteration is pretty killer. but it all comes to down to buying what you want. if you like them and can't get them out of your head then i say go for them if you think they'll compliment your style.
did ro ever make a backzip version of these boots?

There was a discussion on the front's zip-up vs zip-down very recently...with pics...anyone remember which thread?
