i like them as well. they're quite versatile as far as a lace up boot that would go with mostly anything from cdg to luc to _7. i think they're a good example of a boot that will only get better with age. get 'em, vibram 'em, wear the shit out of 'em.

I have these in baby calf and they are wonderful.

Dye job looks a bit weird on those as the tongue is not dyed black on the inside. A pet peeve of mine...

Gavagi; they're replicating the look of antique combat boots, which were usually issued in a brown or undyed leather and were dyed black or successively polished with black polish by the soldiers.

Just as an example, the infamous Nazi jackboot, the M1939, was issued in natural leather.

                    This one? http://fascinate.jp/index.php?page=s...id=133&lang=en

I somehow find this looking much weirder, not to mention the more expensive price tag as well.

Ahh i see what you mean now.

I'm more concern about the the cut of the 8 pocket pants; something about the hip flare seems to attract me to it, but I'm not particularly sure how it'll look on me as well without trying it out myself.

the flaring depends on sizing / how they fit you, and how much they've been worn as well. I think this is why they might not look their best in store shots. The designer wears these pants a lot himself and they look awesome worn in.

add the point of fabrics used as well. The ramie/jersey version on Scoute doesnt seem to have this problem.

I have these pants in the cotton/polyurethane material which gives it some stretch. I really like them. The hip flare is definitely a little different than the rest of my pants, but they are incredibly comfortable and look great on. I agree with lowrey that they'll get better with wear.

good to hear that the material stretches, I have them on the way and theres a good chance they are very slim for me...
