I've not felt the alpaca...is it scratchy?

Alpaca one is HUGE, I have the same style in cashmere and I find it hard to wear. I prefer the black cashmere (same model exists in merino) for an everyday beanie.

yeah the cashmere one is nice, but the one I had pilled quite a bit and was enormous on me.. I looked like a rasta.

Probably not a concern of yours and I know that's the idea with these but I've never really found a rick beanie that I felt comfortable in, They either fit tight like a condom or baggy like a rasta hat.


Boris hats definitely fit much better but are relatively thin. I recently picked up a beanie from a label called SCHA that looks pretty good and has a zipper inside to modify the fit and slouch.

are u serious? the real deal by far, the new ones aren't even warm. I have an 07 one and i got ss13 drkshdw and just opening the box i knew which one was leaving asap. the difference is worse than 09crust leather vs current rick leathers. those new drkshdw parka's feel like Gap parka's. And they aren't warm to boot.

true. i think i'll hold off until i can find them at a better price to experiment. it'd be nice if i could see how they looked on my face online, but i haven't found a site like that that has rick's sunglasses.
