Nah, there is too much: both zip and laces on the front.

I agree with the poster above me, I am not a fan of both having laces and zipper in front. I'm not even sure what's the point with it, if any.

I'd go with something a bit more basic if I was you, but I am not though and in the end it's your own decision!

the point is that the laces allow the boot to be adjusted for a perfect fit, while the zipper allows for quick putting-on and taking-off of the shoe/boot. it's a classic design for fireman boots, for those reasons. i think this was already recently discussed here on the site somewhere also...?

You guys are right, there is too much going on.

I'm looking for nice combat boots, preferably cheap ones (below 100€ ...), I cannot afford designer boots actually. Was thinking looking into milsurp stores.
I'd like to pair them with some Julius J shaped jeans, what would you guys recommend ?

The Classifieds section, there's plenty of cool underappreciated boots for around that price in there depending on your size.

Just got my first yohji suit, is this a good fit? shoulders seems kinda broad but is that normal?

its hard to tell from that grainy photo, yohji jackets are cut oversized but it might be a bit too oversized if it looks like it "falls off" of the shoulder. otherwise it does look ok but again the picture is pretty bad so hard to say. a tailor can take in the shoulders.

Yeah sorry about the bad quality pic. I think you're right, I should have the shoulders taken in. Have done it to one other jacket too, but that was not yohji and actually marked too big for me so it was more obvious thing to do for me (actually a dirk bikkembergs blazer that I thrifted for 15 euros )

Classifieds or go to the military surplus store. If the boots are good enough for army people, it's probably good enough for you. Just make sure the leather is nice.
