the sales are heating up, but i still haven't decide if i like the embroidery or not. when i first saw this coat on the runway, i though 'okay, this is a must, sure there'll be a solid black version'... it's a big wtf to me why they didn't release it as a version with no embroidery (maybe next f/w and i should wait?), and this is like the most runway coat you can get this season... so yeah, what you guys think about this coat?

that is a gorgeous coat - i actually love the embroidery. also, it's cashmere which just adds to make it infinitely awesome.
i'd get it if i hadn't just the other day picked up the wool 'builder biker' i'm wearing in the latest photo i posted in waywt, which is very similar in style to the one u are looking at. i love mine, btw.

what is the difference between those two? I thought it was the same coat, except the non-embroidered one has a visible zipper?"AVANT GUARDE HIGHEST FASHION. NOW NOW this is it people, these are the brands no one fucking knows and people are like WTF. they do everything by hand in their freaking secret basement and shit."

afaik, that is the major difference, and also the way the wool 'tab' or whatever at the lower part of the zipper gives that coat a bit of a skewed, more a-line silhouette. i can't see that on the embroidered one. the embroidered one also looks longer, and has some kind of seam across the torso - maybe for the inside pocket?
apart from that, they're the same i think.

The brown pair of Guidi looks great with the denim I think. The black pair not so well not because of the colour/leather but because it amplifies the leather-sock thing. I feel a boot with more structure/shape would look better. Basically you can find a better alternative to wear with jeans.
