cargobaskets are very challenging to find styling variations on. would not recommend as 'first rick kicks'. love both mine tho, but it's taken a while.

From the responses I gathered:

Cargobaskets:

hardest to style but easily the most eye catching sneakers of the bunch. I had looked at some internet fit pics, even at my height won't be easy to pair with shorts. Probably skinny pants tucked in or stacked on top will look great?

Geobaskets:

Very iconic but that means they are also everywhere. 😊 Probably can get it work with shorts, jeans and cargos in the tropics but haven't seen one in real life, unsure whether the tongue flap will be too wide and glaring.

Ramones:

Very versatile, I would say almost Converse like. Can understand why this will get the most usage of the bunch. Possibly the only drawback will be it doesn't have that much of RO "look".

How does Ramones quality stand next to the main lines? Just as good?

I didn't have my Cargobaskets for a long time (my height made it hard to work with), so I can't add input on that. The tongue on the Geobasket isn't as wide and glaring as you may think (although more so than a regular high top). You can always lace them a little tight to make the tongue flare out less. As for Ramones, I don't understand why "not having an RO look" is a drawback.. but the Ramones have a mainline variation also (leather) unless you were considering the DRKSHDW ones.

There are nicer ways to tell or guide newcomers when they want to participate in a discussion - even when they are doing it wrongly. Obviously you don't how to do that or for whatever reasons; you are not in the right mood today. I don't post often but I did correspond with some very nice people here like David and Zam. This is such a shame.

This is a great forum for sharing and showcasing a certain style not found elsewhere but I guess I just go back to being a lurker. Have your last say, I won't be responding anymore. 😊

Just received these (thanks LNCC! finally lol)

They feel fantastic, but they really are just some really expensive pyjama pants. On the fence of returning these, but they feel so soft.

nothing wrong with really expensive pyjama pants. that just means you'll get the most wear out of them! Wear them tucked in geos/boots when going out.
