Com'on, every brand discussed here is "overpriced" depending on what criterium you base your calculation. What is it here? Technicality? If you're happy with it, and you can afford it, it's not overpriced (or not more overpriced than any other sz brands).

I think the pleats add a nice touch to the pants. And I researched Uniforms For the Dedicated and they use mainly recycled or organic fibers.

I agree with Justin here, the 11byBBS Ortlieb bag is insanely price for what it really is. I also find it really stupid to pay full retail for that shit. You don't have to be a troll to understand this, just common sense. For a couple $ more go buy yourself some paint/thinner and make your own design.

Really it's a bag for certain circumstances in which case you do not have to worry about anything stupid like branding but only in keeping your shit dry.

I thought about an Ortlieb, just for travelling with expensive camera equipment when trekking in dense jungles and islandhopping by crappy motorboats.

Back to the topic: ortlieb bag is fugly. No matter how much you save, if it's to have a bag this fugly, don't buy it. I'm sure there's plenty technical bags much more worth it. Maybe try arc'teryx or some similar brand? I advise you to not buy any leather bag if it's for traveling purpose, I have an Atelier de l'Armee and a Guidi one, both are simply to heavy and become really annoying in no time. So the zam one isn't really an option here.
