Tony - Be careful with that Drkshdw parka if you're buying it online. I had last fall's corduroy version and it ran huge (XS but fits a 44" chest). Also, it was unlined so it might not be very warm.
I did try on that exact one in green. The cotton felt okay, but I was disappointed with the thickness of the overall jacket. The A shape that the jacket created wasn't that flattering on me, either. Who knows, though, it could fit you perfectly!
I tried on the longer waxed cotton version of that parka a few weeks ago and loved the fit. The one I tried on had a removeable lining and felt like it would be quite warm. It did run big though. I'm 6 2 175 and the small was a great fit.

Wow, your about my same size and I have never fit into a small top from RO....talk about weird sizing...
It definitely looks like one of those pieces that are either made for you, or not. I agree that it probably works well for someone who is 6' or more.

I actually really like it, at least from what I can tell in those pictures. That's not the waxed version right (didn't really like the waxed version personally)?
Also, is that an RO leather I spot? [:)]

... The CCP is anthracite and the M.A+ is black.
I'm thinking the CCP may be too formal, but after trying it on with jeans, it looks pretty ill. Plus, the CCP coat is much more denser and heavier with more closures; as opposed to the M.A+ piece, which only has one and it feels like just a knit. The cut is just so bad-ass on the M.A+ coat, especially with the raw and unfinished edges. Gotta layer more with the M.A+ piece due to the lack of closures, although I don't mind that 'cause I'm not opposed to getting more knitwear, haha. But with the CCP coat, it's already heavy enough that layering isn't even really necessary.
Leo, I'd go with the MA+ one. It's got the most unique look to it and that throne collar is just damn amazing. It's a piece I'd love to have myself!
The CCP one is nice and classic... but it'll be around for many many seasons. The nice thing about Carol is that there are pieces that will be issued over and over again whereas that MA+ coat... you never know!
