Yeah, it's intentional. I've looked at it in the store - it's basically a camel hair bathrobe, unlined, with just a belt to keep it closed. It's also huge, I had to size down in order to keep the shoulder seams close to my real shoulders. It's ridiculous, but I still like it, I'll see if it goes to 50% off.

Thanks for all the opinions, I really appreciate the feedback. I am going to spend the next couple days looking for the black version and if I am unsuccessful then I will keep this one. It might be a nice change as nearly everything I own is black.

Chinorlz- The jacket was purchased thru Oki-ni, it was a deal especially with the 30% off. You are correct the color is darkshadow.

look for the location of the image (right click > properties), copy the URL and then click on the picture icon above the text box and insert the URL there.

what color do you have? kind of hard to say without seeing it on you, but I'm not feeling the red color on a jacket shaped like this, looks off somehow.

I bought the jacket in red as I wanted something 'wearable' and warm. I also bought a Margiela blazer (from the womens collection) with huge shoulder pads - which I love but know that it'll never get worn.

I gotthe jacketfrom Dover Street Market - they have most of Junya's collection and it is quite reasonably priced. DSM it much cheaper than most London stores

Faust - I really enjoyed reading your 'Notes on Camp' essay. Personally, I think that Gaultier is more than capable of desinging camp clothes but the items he sells in his stores aremore kitsch and of far worse quality than Dsquared2.

depends on the rest of your wardrobe. personally, i'd get more use out of the black one.

but i do think the lighter one is the nicer of the two (fabric quality aside)
