Looks like we got too much going on in the eyewear thread - maybe we should separate prescription glasses and sunglasses. Anyway, lost my trusty Yamamoto sunglasses that I've head for 12 years. Very upsetting, but also surprised they lasted this long. Don't know what to get now, still thinking of VB x Linda Farrow.

Love it! Got it in brown (like horn) frame. Lenses are goooood against sun beams.

I have these in black and in havana both ala steve mcqueen blue lenses. I highly recommend them :) Def don't get them too large though, the steve mcqueen re-issues were originally only released in 54. I have a large head and they were too big on me, I went with the original 714's in 52. 649's are the same but without the multi-folding hinges

Definitely don't do that, though i'm assuming you were joking. You'll just end up with ruined frames. There is really no good way to do that (coming from an optician) If you're dead set on them and reshaping them. since they are plastic, you may be able to get a boutique optical to make a lens that is more squared at the top and heat mold the frame to that. I still don't think that will get your desired result, but it could be possible and would be done at your own risk, not the opticals (standard policy) good luck.

Maybe try these ditas and drip your own wax on them (Dita is the shit)

I've been wearing these lately (Barton Perreira - Dillinger) and love them though I wish they came in a matte black as apposed to the shiny. Stock lenses are non-polar glass. Barton was started by former Oliver Peoples designers and now that OP is owned by Lux-shit-tica I find the quality far superior.

Lastly, someone here should buy this Mykita x Romain Kremer Yuri piece

Old Focals in LA (eagle rock and pasadena) has a wonderful stock of vintage frames. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the LA area. I'm pretty sure that's where they did all their glasses shopping for Mad Men.

Just picked these up. The detail and quality seems to be pretty amazing, and the flat lenses are really a nice touch.

Hdg super nice, just tried them all at Dover Street in Tokyo but the 600€ price tag on those kinda ruined it for me.

Yeah, I was able to get them for over 50% off brand new. Even at that price is was a stretch, but they are truly beautiful!
