When I was studying at Parsons I actually ended up being extremely good at childrenswear, one of my professors (who used to design for Dior childrens line) was trying to help me to decide on going into childrens or men's. Funny since now I'm doing womens.

in any case, in my research during that time I came across probably one of the best names of any fashion label, though I'm not a real fan of their designs...

my favorite children's line has to be Trico Field, they have a store in Soho. It's a Japanese label I believe and it's very classic americana. Washed cotton shirts, denim, plaid prints. I think when I have kids this is where I'd be shopping.

i dont have any kids as yet, but since i am married now, i guess in a few years i will be in this position of shopping for kids. one of the reasons i dont recommend spending alot of money on childrens clothing is because without the effects of trends, it will only last a season or two because of growth spurts, with adults, unless you get fat or dont like the item anymore the clothes last as long as their natural durability, with kids they can only become han-mi-dungs!!!!!

i used to shop there alot for myself, i have three pairs of dries van noten shoes that i bought there, i even found a Niel barrett Blazer there a few weeks ago for $89, i returned it as its too short and a size too small for me, saw even pieces there from McQueen's second line, yes i want to dress the lttle Z's very stylish so i will continue my relationship with them

No - a danish line called popupshop - made of organic cotton and in a neutral color palette. My daughter wears this and loves it. Tuss is another line that I think SZers would like for their mini-SZers.
