isuck, I hope you refrained my friend. There are better golden eggs to be had at other stores than thisgoose that will make the wearer look like a quack.

        perforated suede multizip? c'monnnnnnnnn

the aloharag store sounds like a complete and utter bust. At least A will never disappoint and neither with Herr Owens.

^It was sort of just the lesser of the evils and I was looking at the site to see the blurp about the store. In person at least it is quasi decent in that it is pretty soft and supple; but, if I got a suede zip up brown jacket it would be the RO one at Jeffery for a mere g more.

OK.. my fellow SZ members.. I did an AR jog-by .. .and yikes.. how will they ever cover the rent?.. perhaps, they have more items to arrive. however, the current selection left me very very underwhelmed . . . they should post a classified for a buyer position on this website.. anyway, in my opinion only, Atelier has nothing to worry about.. and I am a loyal and long time customer of A.. so, I am happy for them in this respect..

Aloharag definitely has to change up their view of a customer with this new store. The customer in Hawaii is wealthy Japanese tourists and buying that way has worked for them so far (and the fact they are the only boutique of it's kind in Hawaii) but it wont in NY.

If they were smart, they would bring in well edited selections of some designers you can find in NY and others that you can't. A good Raf Simons edit would be nice, maybe bring in Ute to go along with Raf and Vibskov and I would also bring in Dries. But that's just me....

I don't know...they have quite a few now for such a small space, no hurt in goin' in there though.

Speaking of A though, it's Karlo that does all of the buying for the store, correct? I've always liked that their buy feels 'personal'.

Yea, that's what I figured and that's why I think the buy is the way it is, which I like. (probably explains the HUGE Ann buy this season too)

One wonders where it will end, when everything has become gay.

that's just my impression. i could definitely be wrong and you should try if you want a job there. you have the look and i'm sure you're knowledgeable of the lines that they carry so that's a plus.

naw i mean from as far as i understand jordan used to do the buying for A which wouldnt really make sense if karlo was the only one who always did the buying. i was just joking about applying to be a SA ;)

Hmm, but it seems the NY buy is completely different. Because there isn't the same Japanese clientele? Maybe in NY they are more interested in taking on Scoop than the higher end boutiques. Doesn't make sense though when they obviously have the capital and connections to carve their own niche.
