Is it just me or the website that it is not accessible?? Does anyone else has trouble? it has been down and not able to access it since yesterday

Got a new pair of boots that I need to sole-protect before I start wearing them. I know this has been discussed before but wanted to see if there is a *best* way. Previously, I've used the thinnest vibrams around for both show and sole (cobbler tried to talk me into cutting off some of the heel and putting a thick piece of rubber instead but I resisted).

shoes have a set pitch which you can't really mess with too much, if I were you i'd get a rubber sole piece added to the forepart of the shoe, shouldn't be thicker than 1-2mm. I would leave the heel as is until you wear it down a little. In order to have a rubber top piece you'll need to remove the same amount of leather as you plan to install rubber, plus the thickness of the rubber forepart. A thin layer on the heel will wear out in a couple of weeks and is essentially useless.

they look fun... can't tell the texture from the yoox shot though. How do they look paired with even LUC button ups?

It is woven from a raw silk so it has an extremely coarse texture. If you have handled the raw silk scarves from that same season, you will know what I mean. I have been very tempted to pick one up but I am sure that very limited usage would eventuate. I think it may look a little sloppy with a LUC shirt but could work to break up the razor sharpness of a CCP suit and shirt.

I do wish that I bought the kangaroo leather object dyed, overlocked CCP tie a few seasons ago... sold on yahoo for not too bad. Now THAT's a fun piece to wear hahahaha
