it shouldn't take more than a day or two for a tailor to do if you are just hemming it from the sleeve. it would take a while longer to alter it from the shoulder as it's a more complex job.

I haver another tailor related question.

Do you think it would be easy or difficult to re-do the pickstitching around the edge of a blazer (from front at the bottom to lapels and round back of neck)? Would you trust this job only to a decent tailor? Also do you think it would be possible to partially do this, since my problem is that the pickstitching is starting to come away on a jacket but only about an inch or so is missing?

I don't think it's necessary to redo the entire pickstitching, so it should be a relatively easy task. Hell, I think you should be able to do it yourself (make sure both ends of the broken thread are secured so they don't unravel anymore, then fill in the missing part).

Zamb should be able to give you a definitive answer though.

PS. Where is the missing part exactly?

take it to a local tailor and tell them you'll pay 'em 20 bucks extra, they'll have it done before you leave.

The resort shows are starting to pop out and while I realize that a limited number of houses even have resort shows, I'm eager to see the ones that aren't on style.com. Is there another site that shows them?

the muther fucking ccp rain blazer. so punishing an experience in so many ways that it reminded of the time when i was 8 when i was asked to audition for a commercial. i was also asked to bring a couple of friends if i could. needlesstosay, i thought it would be fun to bring my closest friends. and of course, they both got the COKE commercial and i got the alternate and was not needed. i think they both got like $100,000 each or something. and this was in the mid 80's. my mom smarted over that one for years, especially since nobody bothered to take us out to dinner for their lucky break.
