So, can anyone tell me how good a pair of RO destroyed suede boots from AW08 will hold up? I'm considering buying a pair but I'm not certain how much the suede can stand for. Will I be better off just getting a pair in leather or just getting something else?

I like how they look but since my Rick sneeks have been falling apart I'm a bit suspicious towards already distressed sheet from him.

^ Although I haven't handled the boots first hand.. I don't think the suede would stand up to as much abrasion as a treated leather would, if that's what you're asking. And its grainy texture holds more grit and crap in it than a smooth leather surface does, so it's like constantly having sand in the leather of your boots.. Really cool distressing effect though. Worth it, if you're into that look.

Of course they won't hold up as good but I suppose I'm asking if they will fall apart from normal wear. I mean, I never wear suede boots in snow or if the weather is to messy but if they can't take day to day wear like that I really fail to see the point in buying them. Also, I'm not 100% sure I will like the distressing as much irl as I do in images. On the other hand, I can get them cheap...

Is 625 usd shipped for a LUC sleeveless alpaca wrap to much? To me it feels like a reasonable price.

That price is far from being too much. A month or two ago I would have paid a lot more than that price (truly a grail for me). Now that it is officially spring and summer is not that far off, as for myself, my cash is going in that direction. Perhaps it`s just timing.
