I take it you have the SS08 version without a pocket on the front? I use the front pocket for carrying my wallet and the elongated snap closure pocket for a couple of pens, the snap pockets along the side are just there to look cool.

^ i knew what i was getting when i bought the bag...the price was right and i dig it. i just was curious how other peeps were using it.

i do have the front pocket and right now there is a small altolids tin in it. if i ever put my wallet in it, i could never get it out.....good way to save $$$

problem solved...i stretched out the front pocket enough to actually allow me to use it for my wallet. the 2 side pockets now contain 1 ipod nano each. i even have enough room to attach my icombi bluetooth dongle if i choose to use my icombi headphones.

the bottom pocket now houses my se530's. i am very pleased.

my question to all owners of the bag, WTF to you put in it...especially how, if at all, do you use the snap pockets?

I don't have this one, but I do have my small Undercover bag and have been around people using the small Julius (or similar) ones. For me my smaller bag is just for when I don't want to deal with a bag but still want to carry a few things. I usually don't put my wallet in my pocket so it goes in the bag; pens, business cards, a little notepad, phone.. That's about all I can get in mine. I just treat it as an extension of my pocket(s) when I don't want to deal with really carrying a bag.

ive ordered from lvr before in the past , honestly tho i dont remember if they asked for my ssn . they may have i just dont remember its been years since i had to go thru their verification process they have and once u do it you dont have to do it again for future orders . i kno u have to give them bank info and they verify shit with ur bank before they send anythin out and apparently some people were havin probs with their banks tellin LVR 'nope' even tho the attempted purchases were legit

It may have to do with customs, as others have related, when I ordered from LVR I don't think they asked for my SSN, but I got a call from Fedex when the package entered the U.S. and had to answer a number of questions for customs. A month or two later got hit with a 20-30% customs bill from Fedex. Maybe they're trying to expedite the process by getting the info from you when you order rather than fedex having to track you down. I could be wrong though, the last time I ordered was probably 3 years ago. I would just email or call their customer service and tell them your situation.

my experience so far with LVR has been pretty terrible i must say. I ordered well over a week ago and had i not emailed to check on my order they would not have given me any updates at all. Apparently they havent shipped out yet and also they just email me asking me whats my SSN.

Obviously that information is sensitive to some people and more tact should be used. Basically they should have made aware that this info was neccesary before even processing the order.

no they didnt send it out yet, but they never explicitly told me where my order was in the process...

LVR did not ask for mine, but I am still waiting for my order or any email indicating that the order is on its way. I just received a call from Fedex about a package coming to me, but I don't know if that is from LVR.

From the LVR website, where it clearly states that import fees will not be assessed:

Shipment Fees

All orders shipped to the USA are FREE of shipping charges.

Orders shipped to the USA are sent with Federal Express Priority Service (Monday through Friday). Federal Express does not deliver to PO BOXES.

Import Fees

Clients shipping to the USA DO NOT HAVE TO PAY IMPORT FEES UPON DELIVERY. These fees are pre-calculated in the merchandise value of the items on-line.

Social Security Number

Private USA citizens and non-USA citizens residing in the USA who import Internet goods from abroad are required to have a Social Security Number and must release this number willingly to the express courier or broker, in this case Federal Express.

Non-USA citizen/resident who DO NOT have a USA Social Security can provide a CBP - Customs Border Protection - assigned number. The process to obtain a CBP assigned import number generally takes 10 business days.
