Has anyone ever had a package impounded by US customs? I purchased a (quite) expensive item from a member here from Sweden, who shipped it using posten.se and marked it as a gift. He sent it Monday and I have been faithfully tracking it daily. Today, on the tracking page...the dreaded "Abroad. Impounded by customs" appeared.
I have asked him to contact the shipping company in the AM and I myself will attempt to contact US Customs on Monday.
Anyone with similar experience?
Any advice?
Did you recover your package or was it seized for good?

a large part of packages travelling in and out of pretty much any countries go to customs, its nothing unusual. what they do is just check the contents and pass it on.

yeah, they just search through it make sure there isn't drugs or shit in it.

i got my stuff back. but my package was sent by ME from japan to ME in california

and check out their work. i get my suits tailored by a guy who runs a bussiness just doing it himself. i HATE online tailors, 99% of them are crap (why they can't make a bussiness doing it)

tailors = not something to skimp on, get in there and check forourself. they can ruin $9000 jackets very quickly

Is there someone selling YKK Excella zippers or Riri M6 online (or Germany/Denmark), not wholesale, in Europe? Zipperstop got some Excellas but I'm not sure about the rainbow color and the shipping to Europe is crazy.
