kunk was that to my question before the Polyanna thread within a thread takeover? My question seemed to be missed by all.

Does anybody have ever tried to cut a classic Rick Owens t-shirt (semi-sheer) to a appropriate length?

I bought a black one in XS but it's still much too long in the body (I KNOW that this is the intention).

        Just cut it with scissors?

ive cut many ones. silk/rayon mix and cotton, works well for both so should not be a problem for you. just use the scissor as you want.

now, after some time though i want them longer :p so be careful

Does anyone have any experience with Jun Hashimoto boots and derbies - the ones that look the same as the old CDiem styles? I specifically mean ones labelled 'Jun Hashimoto', not the older WJK ones which were supposedly CDiem deadstock. Any help appreciated!

out of curiosity, what's the difference between 'WIM' and 'TEER' fabric in terms of CCP? both seem to be be 100% wool so i guess it's a matter of texture? weave?

                      adding zipper to boots

today I received a pair of julius combat boots which I bought from sufu. They are really nice, older season like 05 but good condition. It's a bit of a pain to put them on however, since they don't have a zipper. I was wondering if adding a backzip to them would be a good (or possible) idea. Has anyone done this? Do cobblers do this kind of thing?

no pain no gain mon ami

altering clothing to fit better is one thing, but altering shoes/boots just seems wrong (apart from a thin vibram sole). if you aren't entirely happy, sell em' and buy a different pair i say

I would say that it depends on the shape and cut as well as the leather used, but in theory it should be possible to add a side or back zip. take them to a cobbler and ask.

                              Shipping an duties w/ farfetch

                              Hello everyone

I was considering ordering a BBS overcoat from farfetch (http://www.farfetch.fr/shopping/men/...-10093074.aspx) but it's in Canada, and I'm in France...

Any similar experience (US/Canada to France/Europe) with duties? any idea whether I'll have to pay anything and how much?

Otherwise I might ship it to a friend's in NY and get it next time he'll visit...

                              Thanks!

you would most likely be billed for customs and taxes by Fedex
