Can anyone tell me which size of the S/S08 CCP side zip boots would be better suited for a size 12 US. I've heard that the sizing is a bit different from past seasons. Would I be safe with a CCP size 10, or should i size up to an 11? I am unable to try them on before purchasing so any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I always went to... I think his name was Jacob? On Newbury by Croma. Always very nice and accommodating. Had him alter some Ann pieces for me and he did a bang up job
I use to go to Mario on Tremont (former tailor for AB), but he retired and moved back to Italy. Louis Boston Tailoring dept. is good but crazy pricey:$40 for a regular hem.

Word Reborn.
Just in case you don't have one yet... I had all my CCPs rubber soled by this cobbler right at Govt Center in that curving long building with the Kinko's and Burger King in it. He's to the right of the set of stairs that take you to the other side of the building. Really small storefront but the guy takes loving care of your shoes (we talked about how Carol's boots were made for a while) and does a good job at a fair price.
Word on the Louis Boston pricing. I regret never having eaten at Restaurant L though. Totally slipped my mind for years. Ridiculous of me :)www.AlbertHuangMD.com - Digital Portfolio Of Projects & Designs

oh damn. Thats a semi-shame considering they were such a landmark. Unfortunately it'll be something life A&F taking over the spot...
I'll be back in Boston/NY for the new years time frame. I'll have to get in one meal at L before they close those doors.
Meet for drinks then Reborn?www.AlbertHuangMD.com - Digital Portfolio Of Projects & Designs

I just got this Julius belt and its already starting to come apart
The belt is made of two layers of really soft elk leather and the layers are coming unglued from each other. Any suggestions on how to repair? Is there some kind of glue thats good for leather?

what the hell? Julius doesn't even stitch their belts?
Take it to a cobbler. There are good leather glues that they use that maintain flexibility.
Good luck my friend.www.AlbertHuangMD.com - Digital Portfolio Of Projects & Designs

I was sitting here with a tube of krazy glue about to do it myself but I think I'll go the cobbler route since I know a good place nearby.
Yeah I was really surprised when this happened, the other Julius leather pieces I have are really well made. Shrug. It's nice leather and nice hardware but a $400 belt shouldn't fall apart in 2 days.

definitely don't use superglue. Leather is too absorbent for it to work well at all. It's the LAST thing you should use!!!
I'm glad you didn't do it! It absorbs into the leather, dries and that part ends up just being kinda hard.www.AlbertHuangMD.com - Digital Portfolio Of Projects & Designs
