I am looking for interesting and unusual applications of:

- velvet
- faux leather
- polyurethane or other plastics

any collections you guys can recommend?

gareth pugh does and rad hourani's diffusion line although it can be seen as quite derivative. gareth last season i think. all of his stuff looked interesting on the runway and like crap on the rack.

Is that pleather? I don't like the jacket itself, but I can appreciate that it isn't trying to look like leather at all.

both have same item code but i fail to see how they are same piece, really, unless one model has sized down (seems to run large) and the other sized up ..
i wish it didn't have such weird stitching and slanted pockets, esp the chest one which just looks like a naughty mistake

L&F stuff fits oversized generally...ideally between the two pics posted.

Either way, if you don't like it...don't buy it?

i like it in the first pic, not the second. the question is, are they really the same (item # would indicate yes, pics seem quite different in terms of fit, cut, how large, extent of cut-away, etc)

I just picked this one up last week. It's sizing, the first picture looks close to two sizes too big.

hard to tell anything from the first picture, but could be the same jacket just sized differently. the second picture looks roughly what L&F jackets in size M look on me, and I'm a 50. so I would guess picture one is sized up at least one size.

I tried a very similar jacket to this recently as well (its the jacket with the slanted front). I'm a 47-48 and the xs fit me really well. I think the Archive has some of these pieces left at great prices as well.

would you guys who have this piece say the stitching is not as obvious ? i don't like excess and unnecessary stitching whenever possible, but it may be the use of flash or is the jacket also shiny ??

I believe it is the flash in the second photo that washes the color out and makes the stitch more noticeable. However, there is a raw seam running down the back and on the shoulder. The wool from the lining is visible a bit on those.

I would think a Small would be ideally on you, as these items aren't intended to be tailored to your body. But that's besides the point...
