yea but this only seems to be with high end clothing. I can't think of other examples at the moment but most imported goods cost about the same in the country of origin. Then again, customs tax is a complicated subject I know nothing about.
That's actually not true. I travel between UK, Asia and Australia a few times a year so I often have the chance to compare prices. And just like high end luxuries, high street stores charge differently too. For example, Zara, H&M and Topshop is comparably cheaper in UK than in Asia and Australia.

^I can't speak for these recent group buys, but I was quite happy with a transaction for a Silent shirt I wasn't able to find anywhere else. The bigger advantage for me than the discount was being able to get anything I wanted from a lookbook, store buys are always so conservative it was nice to be able to go direct in this case.

Aside from a loss of exclusivity (which the internet has already destroyed) I'm not sure I see the disadvantage of this to designers, they get more orders placed with a guaranteed sell through. That said, it probably makes more sense for small and not widely distributed brands like Silent to agree to a deal like this.

I imagine so, yes. It translates to "shoulder groin". lulz. If it's from the outside, that's a pretty short sleeve.

Really? That's a shame. The sleeves don't look that short in the picture.

肩付根から means from the end of the shoulder.

                          So much for quality control...
There is no excuse for this, and certainly not "the artisanal approach" and its by-products ("uneven surfae, irregularities etc)

                          That's just sloppy, and unwearable.

                          What's the label?

                              no wonder they're heavily discounted...
From what I heard, (even though I never had any first hand experience with Augusta) from sales assistants at l'E, Augusta quality seems to be very fickle (is that the right word?), and it is overall a bit overpriced (quite a few issues and complaints from customers).

When I tried a FW10 pair at Layers the back zipper simply wouldn't move to either direction and it took eat me a minute to help me put them on and then another to effortfully take them off my feet. A great synergy of bad construction and SA awkwardness.

                                I fucking hate Augusta.
