I'm sure we can all agree that sizing always varies somewhat from garment to garment, regardless of who produced it...but in a general sense, Yohji fits larger than most. Y's is a different story, so I'm surprised your size 1 fits that large...typically its sizing is fairly standard with slimmer cuts.i traded my LUC jeans + Julius belt + Neil Barrett jeans for a blamain biker jeans

As Dane says there can be quite a bit of variation in many brands, including yohji. In yohji's case, there is a difference between the newer and older collections, as well as between y's and mainline. The older collections tend to fit looser but have shorter sleeve lengths. Depending on your desired fit, a 2 is likely closer to a 48. Newer collections are cut a bit more slim with longer sleeves. A 3 would work better in these cases for a similar fit. Y's tends to be slimmer than mainline.
