as far as I know most tailors are able to alter sleeve length from the shoulders, but if CCP's construction differs then it's best to consult your trusted tailor.Originally posted by PatroklusBetter too adventurous than not enough

there is no good way to shorten sleeves; you'll either end up with a misshapen shoulder (especially noticeable with padded shoulders) or missing buttons. not to mention you can ruin the proportion if you shorten too much. on yahoo auctions you can seen many examples of jackets with shortened sleeves and they always look off no matter how they are tailored.
but aren't ccp sleeves intentionally long?

shortening at the shoulder is probably a no-go on a ccp blazer given the construction, so the cuff might be the only option."AVANT GUARDE HIGHEST FASHION. If you have short/long arms or wide shoulders etc and desperately want a ccp item, you can custom order with your own specific requirements. I've ordered a sz46 overcoat with 2cm extra arm length and it was perfectionyou can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter...

Kangaroo is good and indeed very strong, I dont think it would stretch beyond the normal amount, more like molding well to your feet.Originally posted by phiman View Postthe bison leather shoes i own are definitely heavier than a comparable pair made out of (for example) horse leather.. but it's not like you're wearing cement shoes (Al Capone style)

This has probably been asked many times, but I can't seem to find an answer from my searches. If I wanted to get a pair of white pants dyed black, and didn't want to mess with it myself, what type of place might I find? I don't even know where to look - I'd assume it wouldn't be a tailor, but I'm not sure who it would be. Thanks!

Usually a cobbler can dye garments...some of the ones in my area offer that service. Otherwise, unless you're in a larger city, you're better off to do it yourself. It's really not that hard, especially going from white to black. Make sure they are 100% cotton because if there is elastine in there or some other synthetic mix, you will get inconsistent results.
If you're dyeing something that is synthetic, make sure you have a dye for that.
If you're in a larger city, do a search for dye labs. I think they're a dying breed in the states because of EVP standards for chemicals, disposal, etc.
A child could dye a pair of pants though. It just takes a few hours and a little bit of patience. If you were talking about dyeing a leather jacket or a pair of shoes, boots, etc...I'd say find a pro. Cotton? Child's play.Originally posted by mizzarSorry for being kind of a dick to you.
