appears to be worn reversed (seam side up), but the pattern also seems reversed (front vs back) based on how the shoulder seams run. maybe its just a difference in showroom vs production model, looks to be the same piece otherwise.

Would like to replace the sleeves on an old and worn RO leather. Any suggestions where I could go in NYC? I've heard some horror stories about repairing RO leathers, so unless someone can vouch for a place, I'll let it hang in my closet.

Just bought a pair of Boris high in my normal size (43) and they feel really tight on my feet. Not sure if I should give them a chance to stretch out or just return them. Does horsehide stretch much?

Got the same in size 41, but they fit more like a 39 and I could barely even get my foot in after much struggle. Took them to local shoe specialist who said there wasn't much chance of them expanding in size because of the rubber sole bounding it on all sides. So I decided to return them..

I've not heard of most of the brands you wear, but as far as grabbing good deals, keep an eye on the Good Finds threads, the classifieds, and there are some good consignment sites like http://www.guyiconsignment.com/ and http://re-porter.ca/. You could also try your luck with Yoox, etc., or better yet, wait for 50% off sales (like the ones happening right now on many sites).

I'm not a fan of leather directly on skin...especially something as oily as your hands, but I'm sure it's durable, and definitely something repairable (stitching, etc.)
