Does anyone know if it's possible to get a hold of some BBS 'weathered' metal clips for jacket collars like these one's?

I think your best bet would be to buy a jacket that includes them. Otherwise I've very rarely seen people on classifieds selling them, so maybe you can try that.

Go over to " student work and diy" thread and look under dying japanese denim thread. I made a post as well as others that should help. Also, if your sweater is worth the effort, buy a large tub and look at my post- even on "gentle" you don't have as much control over washing (possible stretching) as you would by hand. Wool, like silk is a protein so let that be your guide when choosing a dye, I'm assuming you know COLD only for water temp.
