Yea, there was entire thread about the shit customer service, customs charges, etc. Also, find the international ordering thread, there was some info in there.
Cliff Notes version:
Don't order from them if you're in the US. Get a EU proxy or something.
They charge you 40% customs fee.
They do not take off VAT.
"because the young are whores. dealers come to carol to get the rock"
i've ordered an item from oki-ni less than a month ago, and i live in USA.
the item got here in justone day via DHL. i originally used 10% discount code, but then after like 3 days, i received 20% discount code in the e-mail. so i sent an e-mail to them asking if i was entitled to another 10%, and indeed, they gave me another 10% discount on it.
yeah SoCal, sounds like too much work for a shirt. Never ordered from Oki-Ni, but my luisa via roma experience here in hong kong has been great. No VAT, no customs charge.
I try to shy away from LVR because it makes me all teary eyed when I think about the time I used to live outside of Florence and how bad I want to go back.
Well, if I can't find the shirt (it is the Raf one with the faded print and draw string bottom and squared neck) at Seven, Jeffery or Atelier I may resort to purchasing it there.
FWIW I emailed them last night asking about who courier they use and payment via cc or paypal and I already got a response from Lacy answering those question.
