Between the snaps and the zippers on your jacket and boots, you could be the jangliest motherfucker out there.

^ pretty much. some of the earlier Julius jackets didn't have leather overlaps on the zips, the rider style with over half a dozen zip pulls was the noisiest shit ever.

          keeping black black ...

hi , this may have been answered before but does anyone have any tips on keeping black items ( pants , tops etc ) looking a true black ?

everything i have seems to fade really quickly and im having to overdye some pieces once a month - its costing a fortune in dye !

i only use woolite on my best stuff and a 20 degree quick wash , but i do tumble dry most of them - is this a problem for anyone else ?

          thanks in advance !

Yeah, never put anything of value in a washing machine and especially don't machine dry it. Handwash and as rarely as possible at that. You're kind of just ruining your gear on a recurring basis -- re-dying garments once a month is mad.

You're on the right track with the woolite but you should really handwash and hang dry your stuff to keep the color and to keep from ruining the shape of the garment.

                  washing machine (30 C, 600 cycles / minute)
hang or lay on a surface to dry (heavier garments)

this applies to anything except cashmere, leather and maybe viscose.

I've bought a few Devoa shirts and t-shirts (size 2)

Everything fits nicely except for the bicep which is really tight

Is there anything I can do about it?

how did you manage to buy a few if they are all tight..?

what you can do is buy a bigger size, and if its loose someplace else, tailor it. if it doesn't help, you need to buy something else.

This is kind of a dumb question but I can't find anything that I like and now I'm just mindlessly browsing. Can anyone give some recommendations for drapey black cardigans in a cooler material for summer that isn't see through? The closest I've found have been some BBS ones but they've all been pretty sheer.
