first pic looks real easy wear.
Comme homme plus did some similar skirts mid nineties.
Very durable fabrics and so nice to wear.
Nothing like the feeling of no fabric between the legs.
Dries also did his take on sarong/pleated kilt ..... not quite as long but wearable over shorts also.
Shame more men dont do without a zipper

I think that's basically the key for the ones from Tokyo Homme is that I'm fairly certain they actually are just men's kimono "skirts" - from more research it seems that it might definitely be a hakama. I originally thought that they were more like very wide-legged pleated trousers but apparently some have an "undivided" leg and are essentially large skirts. The trick will be to find a pair in such a luxurious looking fabric / hopefully more than the usual 7 pleats.

Someone help me find one of the black dior homme skirts and we can just call it a day.

If you described this look to me in words (deep v, tattoos, ostentatious jewelry) I would think "what a douchebag" but then you see the picture and Bam! 100% badass. The piercing blue eyes don't hurt either....

        ...and I'm (ostensibly) straight.

got to see this some years back at a film fest of some sort, stayed with me since.
That is really cool, and it just reminded me that I've been meaning to rent decasia since I saw it playing in a video store so long ago, but I keep forgetting. Tomorrow it's on!

glad you brought up decasia merz, saw this in a huge church in LES (the area, not the elusive man) after spending many nights stoned watching a bootleg copy. one of the highlights of my short existence.

seeing the projections in the round!!! around the walls of the church did it for me. i didn't notice any weird instrumentation although the audience was in the pit and the musicians on the 2nd or 3rd floor.
god, i wish i could remember what the church was called.

as long as that influence stops at the sartorial level...

I had to read him in translation unfortunately, so I'm no expert to say the least, but I do like a lot of his poems.
