While I'm at it, I've always been obsessed with the style in "The Dreamers" soooo good.

I like Wes Lang's style. Not too biker, not too rockabilly. etc. I could never pull of the hat though. Are hats like this played out now?
In Wes Lang's meticulous pencil drawings, America is a land of whiskey and country music, pinup girls and Walt Whitman. It's not a bad place to be, all things considered-a place of individualism that's been scarred by history, which pretty much gets reconstructed in Lang's roving works. The 36-year-old New York artist, who grew up in Chatham, New Jersey, has come to be known for his extraordinary portraits of American Indians, often on display at ZieherSmith gallery in New York. He also recently showed a series of large-scale paintings in "The Destruction of Atlantis," a group show that took place at Union Gallery in London this past fall.

And just like everything else, the media can get it and turn it into the 'next big thing.'
Why encourage shit like this? Like America needs more slobs that don't care about how they look or how healthy they are. It's definitely an embarrassment but absolutely not a surprise.
I'm sure eventually wearing dirty underwear will be cool and as the media hypes it up and American males eat it up (ick), it'll be THE big thing some day. Nothing surprises any more when it comes to bad taste.Originally posted by mizzarSorry for being kind of a dick to you.

Neh, it's just Guy Trebay having fun. The only disturbing thing about this article is that it made it to the most e-mailed list. And guess whose fault that is :-)Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde
