Extraordinary and flexible artist. He has such a developed personal style.
I dream of having a "black sheep" uncle like Keiji...

It means to take control of a memory, as it flashes in a moment of danger."

Ahh - the Blixa videos from a more youthful era. The "insouciance" of his just-so hair. Love, love, love.
One could wear his clothing but never manage to capture his aura -- it is his visual attitude that is the style inspiration for me...

sorry for my bad english, i learned it from the book.
I too am inspired by homeless people when I buy a $1,000 jacket. Why don't we just shit on them? Oh, fashion, sometimes I wonder why I bother...(Faust)
It's DEERMAN FROM DARKWOODS mid-f/s slide n' roll!!!
Wow Jogu: Nice one. Definitely one of my faves also. Can't believe he not only has an Emerica shoe, but more impressively: He has his own Skull Skates Die Hard pro model. He's been knighted!
BARRIER KULT deserves credit on SZ for going against the grain and representing for the non-jock darksiders that still skate.
Gotta give Deerman credit for making a man wanna skate till he HURTS HIMSELF not just skate like a ballerina.
BA KU:HAIL SATAN!! (heh heh)
(Cardiel does rule though!)
In this category also add: Drehobl, Trujillo, Gonz and Blender. (Blender is a style inspiration..)
And while i'm dorking out:
Does anyone have any sartorial insight regarding Keiji Haino's wardrobe? I can't imagine it's all tailored vintage to match his collection of antique stringed and percussion instruments.. Maybe one of the Japanophile sz'ers knows something?
I've heard he's a big fan of early music, which is nice since it's not as obvious as his love for the blues or Jim Morrison(!) for that matter...
I'd like to think he has it all custom made head to toe. Even so, details would be fascinating i'm sure!
Any insights?
hahah yup its deerman , i want all my pix to be grainy and black n white like that 1st image . i actually kinda think the hail satan stuff bakult does is kinda over the top but its sometimes funny to watch . theres this parkin lot near me that has some concrete barriers and i went over to try and skate them , it was alot harder than i thought but a fun change of pace .
the krooked team is my fave also but out of the pros there my fave is bobby worrest . every trick he does is smooth as hell . drehobl is the only non street guy ill watch cos his shits good too , i just dont rly get into tran or vert , always street for me . more fun and technical
jogu the last photo you posted has a great composition; i love how that pole in the foreground barely kisses the door with the no smoking sign, and the other darkened pole appears on level with where he's putting his foot down - i always look for connecting things like that when i take my photos.
