Ah, speaking of which : here's one of the eeriest pics I ever came across.



There's been a time - maybe it's still the case today, I don't know - when egyptian mummies were considered as mere curiosities ; thus collectors wealthy enough could find some of them on the blackmarket, amongst other antiques.
This one seems to have been photographed just after it's been unpacked. There - in some random place that could as well be a hotel room.
Freshly unwrapped from its woolen blanket, leaning in its wooden box against the floral wallpaper.

It partly reminds me of a certain horse.
Partly only, because the man here looks a lot more lost and vulnerable - as the victim of some dreadful joke. And still, there's enough dignity left in this figure to break throug the shabby atmosphere of this room.
