Cool, didn't' know about that ownership. I thought the list was on brands they had acquired. Now, Tom Ford has been there since day one as well, no?

Really love Blaise Mautin perfumes that i bought from a hotel in Singapore on business trip. Have been going to those prefume shop that offer personalised bended prefume. Lately have been looking for those prefume oil? with wood and sandal woods. Sort of addicted and cant go back to the normal commercialised OTC perfume.

Correct. I believe he used/uses Lauder's fragrance creative director for his projects.

Is Cuiron truly the exact formula? I'm hearing a rising chorus of discontent about the reissue. Someone experienced with both please weigh in so I can ignore Ebay from now on

Nobody other than Helmut Lang (corporation) will know the "exact" formula. With that said, in my humble opinion the re-issue stays very true to the original formulation. Purists and hipsters are always going to moan, so I wouldn't worry too much

I got some samples of wonderwood, wonderoud and Cuiron. Have read a lot about the cdg fragrances and at the end was disappointed. This is a personal opinion, i don't have much experience, but i think both of them are overrated, maybe because i had many expectations from them. They're really nice, especially wonderwood made me feel like entering the number 3 store, but they're quite common, was expecting something more unique. Wonderwood lasted the longest on my skin and wonderoud was the worst compared to all. On the other hand, Helmut Lang is fantastic, eventhough i could hardly smell leather. Going to order cuiron and will try the old one from a friend soon. Also, Anyone can recommend me a couple of good samples to order?

Look no further than the previous pages, especially page 100 has what you are looking for.

I would say read this thread's last few pages and you will see plenty of suggestions.

If you like the smell of Weed, as I'm guessing you do based on Kinski, then try Kilian-Smoke for the Soul.

Lampblack is my current favorite. Impressive blend, I can pick out the notes but they come together as a whole to create this very realistic "ink" scent, described as ink from a bic pen.

Wanted to share this, Scent and Chemistry fb These chemists do tests and analyze fragrances then share the results so you can find out which aroma chemicals make up the scent. Interesting.
