I asked Jun why he did that. He said he was a huge fan of Joy Division and have wanted to do this print for a while. He said that he was very well aware that Raf did it in 04 and that stopped him for a long time, but he finally decided that he should just do it if he wants to do it. Anyway, I think on some garments he did it better than Raf and I am very happy with the pants I bought with the print. It's black and black, it's all about texture, barely visible. The $600 sweatshirt though is a serious WTF.

I really could not imagine what he was thinking and how he thought he could get away with it after really tiny little Japanese Brands had repeated the idea in the meantime

I know what you are saying - I can walk in and buy a Joy Division tee at Urban Outfitters. I suppose for some people it's a turn off. I understand when something you cherish gets usurped, but I do think he was earnest and NOT exploitative. I guess that's the difference. And Jun is probably one of the few guys who can do it well. I want that huge scarf. Too bad it costs like a million dollars.

if right click is disabled (kind of 90's, no?), you can left click on the image and drag it to your adress bar or tabs to open the image and get the url.
